[ Quiet for a moment, reluctant to answer, but he finally speaks up. ]

[ There's a long pause and a sigh. William is actually feeling awful about the whole situation with Grell. And though he normally wouldn't talk with others about this, he's in need of advice and someone to talk to right now. Since Eric seems to be all ears, he'll be the one William turns to. ]

Well... [Eric turns thoughtful, seeing that as little emotion as William shows, this minor display of humanity must have some rather large feelings behind it. It surprises him and befuddles him, why Spears would harbor any feelings for Grell, but love is an unruly Master.]

There are some good points here. Grell's tastes are readily known. Something feminine, something red, and attention from you seem to be what he wants most out of life.

I do have something that I have been meaning to give him, that fits all three of those categories.

[ It's been on the back of his mind for a bit. Just waiting for the right opportunity to present itself. Plus, making Grell wait has it's own benefits. But, William is still new to all this romance and love stuff, so perhaps just hearing from someone else that it's time, is the push he needs. ]
