[Eric doesn't answer, but he wraps his arms tight around Alan, and kisses him on the cheek.]

[The hold is answer enough and he moves nuzzling into the hollow of Eric's throat pressing a light kiss to the pulse there. Alan's not going anywhere but to move and slide easily into the other reaper's lap.]

I'd never leave you behind.

[He shudders a bit, holding Alan tight against his chest. After a long breath, he pats Alan's thigh.]

We can do this all day, but we shouldn't.

We should toast to the good doctor, and I could use a drink.

I wouldn't try but it's nice to know you'd follow.

[He grinned before coming to his feet. His fingers tugged lightly at Eric's tie. Normally, he wasn't one for drinking but every once in a while couldn't hurt.]

Then let's do that, go have a drink you and me.

You mean you want to go out?

[He manages a smile.]
